Q: Outside of your
professional work, what things do you enjoy doing?

A Letter from Dr. Amason:
As you are probably aware, most
dentists are not comfortable treating TMJ disorders.
This is not surprising considering the limited time
spent on the subject in most dental schools. There
are, however, educational sources for just such knowledge
and training. The Pankey Institute, Dr. Pete Dawson's
Educational and Research Center, and Dr. Mark Piper
have all been very instrumental in advancing what
is known about the TMJ and how it relates to occlusion,
function and esthetics.
I have been successfully treating and managing TMJ
cases since 1994. It's an aspect of dentistry I truly
enjoy. I find it extremely rewarding to be able to
help people out of pain, particularly when they have
been told there is no hope. I am dedicated to serving
people who are in need. If you would like a resource
to refer your TMJ patients, or would simply like to
discuss my philosophy, I would love to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Lee Amason
